Our team raise money for local charities.
The other big news at The Bathroom Company for 2012 is our Community Focus initiative. We’re carefully recycling our old materials and our customers are helping us to choose which organisation will benefit from the value of these. Half the fund will go to Cornhill House, in Perth; which is close to Lawrences’ heart. The other half will go to one-of-three charities, with the winner being selected by votes from our customers. The charities chosen for the first round are:
CHAS is the only charity in Scotland that provides vital hospice services for children and young people with life-shortening conditions. They offer care for the whole family in their two children’s hospices, Rachel House in Kinross and Robin House in Balloch.
Shelter is a charity that works to alleviate the distress caused by homelessness and bad housing. They do this by giving advice, information and advocacy to people in housing need, and by campaigning for lasting political change to end the housing crisis for good.
WaterAid is an international non governmental organisation. Their mission is to transform lives by improving access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation in the world’s poorest communities.
We realise that we’re pretty fortunate and would like to help put something back into the community. If you’d like a chance to direct these funds, all you have to do is place an order. Now, what better reason could there be for a new bathroom?
