Our client wanted three en-suites renovations for their home, as the existing bathrooms no longer met their style or functional needs. They visited our Edinburgh showroom to explore design ideas and inspirations, which helped them refine their project vision. Impressed by our design style, premium products and the attention to detail we bring to every installation, they knew we were the right team to deliver their vision across all three en-suite renovations.
Design Brief
For the guest en-suite, our client envisioned a modern bathroom style complemented by classic functional elements. They requested a separate bath area and a generously sized shower designed for comfort and ease of use. To soften the space, they opted for a design that combined minimal tiling with carefully chosen wallpaper and integrated wood panelling. A large vanity was also specified, providing ample space for dual use. Our client wanted each of the three en-suite renovations to be uniquely designed while complementing the house’s overall style.
For the master en-suite, our client envisioned a fully tiled bathroom with a spacious, open shower designed for comfort and ease of use. They requested a large, mirrored cabinet with ample storage to keep the space organised and clutter-free, along with a calm, soothing colour scheme to create a relaxing atmosphere.
The final en-suite features a modern design, combining neutral tones with bold accents for a striking yet balanced look. They envisioned a spacious, open shower designed for ease of use, along with an integrated mirrored cabinet to provide practical storage while maintaining a clean, streamlined finish.
En-suite survey
To fully understand our client’s vision and assess the design’s practicality, we conducted a detailed survey to determine the scope of the renovation. Through relaxed, in-depth discussions, we gained insight into their preferences, colour choices, and how they use the space, allowing us to create a personalised en-suite tailored to their needs and style. We also proposed reimagining the layout to create a more open, functional space that seamlessly incorporates every element of their design brief.
Guest En-suite Design
The vanity unit is positioned at the end of the ensuite, establishing a clear focal point upon entry. A refurbished step was incorporated to improve access to the space. The bath and shower are located on the right-hand side, comprising a freestanding bath and a fully enclosed shower with a classic profile.

We positioned the WC opposite the bath and shower to keep the centre of the room open, ensuring comfortable circulation and ease of use throughout the guest en-suite. We incorporated panelling and modern traditional elements to achieve the classical style envisioned by the client.
Master En-suite Design
Our team reimagined the space to create an open, functional layout that fully reflects the client’s design brief. We positioned the shower horizontally at the end of the space to create a large, comfortable showering area. We carefully placed the WC and vanity unit nearby to maintain a spacious central zone and allow ease of movement. We included a large mirrored cabinet above the vanity, which provides practical storage while contributing to a clean, streamlined appearance.
En-suite Design
For the third en-suite, the shower is positioned at the end of the space, creating a spacious showering area. We introduced unique jungle tiles in the shower area, serving as feature wall tiles. We incorporated recesses into the design to provide practical storage for toiletries. We positioned the vanity unit and WC along the left-hand side of the room, leaving the central area open to ensure ease of movement in everyday use.
The window’s position provided natural light and ventilation to the space. Using our CAD system, we presented the client with a 3D virtual representation of the entire ensuite, enabling them to make informed decisions before the final installation. The client was pleased with the designs of all three en-suites. They requested minor adjustments and subsequently approved the project for installation.
Guest En-suite Approach and Product Selection
The shower area features a Novellini glass enclosure with a quadrant tray for sleek, practical functionality, complemented by a coordinated gunmetal shower system including a shower arm, overhead shower, and riser kit for a cohesive, modern look. The bath area includes a Waters of Ashbourne freestanding bath, celebrated for its comfort and unique design, paired with a gunmetal freestanding bath mixer, combining style, elegance, and everyday practicality.
In the vanity area, we chose the Dansani YOU unit and a porcelain washbasin for their bespoke finishes and smart storage options. This is paired with the Dansani Luna 3 door mirror cabinet. The WC is fitted with a Geberit Duofix concealed system and Villeroy & Boch Subway 2.0 wall-hung sanitaryware and accessories, all in gunmetal finish for a cohesive colour scheme. We created bespoke panelling throughout the space at dado height and incorporated wallpaper to add texture and a personalised touch.
Master En-suite Approach And Product Selection
We fitted the shower area with a Novellini glass enclosure and rectangular shower tray, paired with a Crosswater dual shower set including a fixed head, riser, and kit, to deliver a modern, functional and relaxing showering experience. In the vanity area, we selected the Roca Ona washbasin and matching vanity unit for practical storage, paired with a Hansgrohe single-lever mixer and push-open waste for ease of use. Above the vanity is a two-door Dansani mirror cabinet, completing the vanity area.
En-suite Design
In the third en-suite, we positioned the shower at the end of the space, creating a spacious and comfortable showering area. We introduced unique jungle tiles in the shower area, serving as feature wall tiles. The design incorporates recesses for practical storage of toiletries. We positioned the vanity unit and WC along the left-hand side of the room, leaving the central area open to ensure ease of movement in daily use. We ensured all three en-suite renovations were personalised to our clients’ style and needs.
Installation For All Three Bathrooms
We carried out all plumbing work to accommodate the new sanitaryware, including altering hot, cold, and drainage services and installing showers, vanities, heated towel radiators, recessed mirror cabinets, and accessories. We carried out joinery work by building out walls at the shower and WC/basin areas to form new recesses and patching floors. We also replasterboarded the affected walls and fitted doors, thresholds, and towel rail and shower screen supports.
Tiling work involved full-height wall tiling, feature tiles in the shower and basin recesses, floor tiling over wedi insulation, full waterproofing, and installation of chrome profiles with grouting and polishing. Electrical installations included chrome-plated LED downlights, under-basin feature lighting, LED recess lighting, switches, wiring for mirror cabinets, and provision for underfloor heating, all integrated seamlessly into the design. We carefully coordinated all joinery, tiling, plumbing, and electrical work and fully tested them to ensure functionality and reliability.
Conclusion
Our fully employed, experienced trades team managed every stage of the project, keeping the renovation running smoothly and on schedule from start to finish. This approach ensured consistent quality, clear communication, and careful attention to every detail throughout the installation. Our client was happy with their en-suite renovations as they were exactly as they had envisioned.
