Our client visited our Edinburgh showroom seeking inspiration for a modern shower and bath renovation. They needed a trusted bespoke bathroom specialist capable of delivering a complete, stress-free modern shower and bath remodel from concept through to completion. After browsing through our thoughtfully curated showroom displays, premium product selections, and bespoke design solutions, they felt confident in our ability and knew we were the right team to bring their vision to life.
Design Brief
Our client was looking for a shower and bath remodel that would incorporate a spacious walk-in shower and a dedicated bath area, creating a more comfortable experience. They wanted a dedicated make-up and grooming area for added convenience and for everyday use. After seeing a wallpaper featured in our showroom, the client asked us to incorporate it into the design to enhance the space with character and style. Our client requested a calming neutral colour scheme and ample storage to keep the space organised.
En-suite Survey
To assess the practicality of our client’s vision and ideas, we conducted a survey to better understand the scope of work for the modern shower and bath remodel. We initiated a relaxed conversation to understand our client’s product preferences, colour palette, and intended use of the space. This allowed us to create a truly personalised modern en-suite that matches the client’s needs and style.
Shower and Bath Design
Our team reimagined the bathroom with a more spacious layout, designed to accommodate every requirement of their brief. We positioned the vanity area centrally on the wall opposite the entrance, making it a natural focal point upon entering the en-suite. The vanity area features a spacious double-basin oak unit and a large, mirrored cabinet, designed to allow simultaneous use.
On the left side of the en-suite is a dedicated bath area with a large bath and a towel rail. We positioned the shower area in the right-hand corner of the space to create a spacious walk-in shower, complete with an integrated seat for added comfort and everyday practicality. Adjacent to the shower, we designed a dedicated grooming area featuring a mirror and worktop that combine elegance with functionality. We also positioned the WC to the right of the vanity area, helping to balance the layout and create a cohesive shower and bath design.

With our CAD system, we created a virtual design of the modern shower and bath renovation, incorporating every element from layout, products, and fixtures to wallpaper and colour scheme, enabling the client to visualise the new space and make informed decisions. Our client approved the design after we carried out a few minor adjustments they requested prior to installation.
Our Approach and Product Selection
We selected the EauZone Plus hinged panel by Matki for the shower area because of its distinctive design and durability. It is paired with a Novellini shower tray to complete the look. The Crosswater dual shower set system was selected to deliver a refined showering experience. This includes a fixed overhead shower head and a riser rail kit for enhanced flexibility and comfort. For the vanity area, a double-drawer unit from the Dansani Luna range was selected for its refined design, paired with a porcelain wash basin.
A single lever basin mixer from C.P.Hart completes the vanity area, adding a refined touch of elegance and style. We installed a pair of double-door Dansani cabinets above the vanity, creating a seamless and practical storage solution. A wall-hung rimless WC from C.P.Hart is paired with a Geberit flush plate, ensuring seamless performance and functionality. We introduced Keuco bathroom accessories, including a towel holder, hairdryer holder, open toilet roll holder, and towel hook, adding a refined and cohesive finishing touch to the space.
We added a bespoke Silestone worktop to the grooming area, providing durability and an elegant finish. We selected a Zehnder towel rail in a matt white finish to complement the overall colour palette while introducing warmth and comfort to the space. Osborne & Little Crane wallpaper introduces character and complements the tile selection. Our team integrated underfloor heating into the modern en-suite renovation to ensure the bathroom is warm and comfortable to use.
Shower And Bath Installation
Our plumbers altered the hot, cold, and drainage services to suit the new sanitary ware layout throughout the ensuite. We also installed a dedicated hot water supply directly from the cylinder to serve the new shower valve. We completed all joinery works, including floor repairs following sanitary ware removal, construction of bespoke bulkheads and shower nibs with integrated recesses, wall reinstatement, bath framing, and door adjustments. Additional works included installing supports for bathroom fittings and shower screens, fitting new facings and thresholds, and preparing the dressing table and reinforced wall areas to accommodate the Silestone worktop and associated fixtures.
Our tilers prepared and installed all wall and floor tiling, including full waterproofing to the shower area, recessed detailing with chrome trims, underfloor tile warming, and finishing works such as grouting and polishing. Our electricians completed the installation of LED downlights, feature and recess lighting, dimmer controls, underfloor heating connections, and wiring for the mirror cabinets. This completed the electrical scope of the modern shower and bath remodel.
Conclusion
Our in-house team carefully managed, coordinated, and executed every stage of the renovation, delivering a smooth, well-controlled process that allowed the client to continue their daily routine with minimal disruption. The completed shower and bath remodel is an exact realisation of the original 3D design, with every detail executed as originally envisioned.
