Fiona, from Auchterarder, wanted a functional shower room, replacing a bath with a spacious shower unit. While the original room was usable, it felt narrow and unwieldy, with the bath constricting the space and creating a lost corner. A back-to-wall WC and moving the basin from the window made the room more spacious and provided a more functional space with a mirror and storage.
While passing the showroom, Fiona popped in for a quick chat and some inspiration. She says, “I’d seen The Bathroom Company vehicles, and friends recommended them. The showroom wowed me with so much choice. It’s not what I expected, but the quality of displays and installation shone through.” Richard showed Fiona around and suggested reorienting the room. Fiona loved that we were bathroom specialists and liked seeing different displays. After moving into her new home three years ago, she had been thinking about her new room for 12-18 months. Wanting a shower rather than a bath, Fiona had spent some time searching for the right solution.

Regarding the design experience, Fiona says, “It was a great initial idea, with really out-of-box thinking. The design process was exceptional. Fiona was attentive; she listened to my wants, likes and dislikes. When put together, it was just perfect. The presentation was relaxed, and the visualisation helped me to see what my new room would look like. I knew I wanted a rainfall shower and a recess for toiletries. I felt unrestrained, and any changes I queried were welcomed. The presentation area was private and perfect.

When asked what her favourite feature of the room was, Fiona said, “I love everything about it. The shower orientation and recess are suggestions that have proven to be excellent. The mirror lit at night makes my room look like a 5-star hotel. I like the clear white light, and you can choose the light colour. Ian suggested the grout colour, which I like. It was this attention to detail, which was evident from design to installation, that impressed me. A few minor blemishes were solved efficiently, with no fuss.”
