We’re thrilled to celebrate 30 years of excellence at The Bathroom Company.
We marked our 30th anniversary with a lovely evening for our team, with personal chef Mark Heirs joining us. Mark cooked three of his favourite seasonal dishes: steak, sea bass and mushroom risotto, using our working kitchens and some rather lovely (and very effective) Miele appliances. He talked us through the preparation and cooking of each dish and shared his top tips for recreating restaurant-quality meals at home. We loved the tasters of each finished dish.
Lawrence started The Bathroom Company 30 years ago, in 1992. From small things, with a focus on quality and customer service, great things have grown. Since then, with a focus on customer service, the team has opened our Edinburgh Showroom in 2017. We won the UK Bathroom Retailer award three times, and Perth and Edinburgh won Best UK Bathroom Showroom. Our showrooms showcase the quality and attention to detail our in-house trades team deliver.
With a passion for renovating buildings to the highest standard, Lawrence has invested in redeveloping several period properties, breathing new life into buildings. A background in plumbing, based on LW Haddow, established over 40 years, has served our team well, providing a high level of technical expertise to underpin our creative skills. Haddow Bathrooms and Kitchens was formed in 2016, offering solutions for clients seeking high-quality rooms but are less motivated by the exclusive design focus offered at The Bathroom Company.
Opening Kitchens2 studios in Edinburgh and Perth showrooms in 2017 was a natural diversification. Design and installation of kitchens have supported growth into whole-home renovations and development, where we have delivered many inspirational projects for clients.
We’ve also had a bunch of fun on the way. Our award-winning “Baths Out” campaigns, all shot on location, saw us taking baths and showers to some fantastic Scottish locations, including the Hermitage at Dunkeld, Loch Earn, Loch Tay and St Andrews (the setting for Chariots of Fire). As well as fun, we’ve done some good, raising funds for Macmillan, carrying a bath to the summit of Ben Nevis and sailing a vessel made of bathtubs from Glasgow to Edinburgh. These adventures were a great way of working together, enabling our whole team to participate.
We are proud to have delivered thousands of fabulous rooms and fantastic bathrooms across Scotland. We’re lucky enough to have strong relationships with the very best and most inspirational brands, allowing us to offer high-quality and, in some instances, exclusive products. Today, we have about 100 people in our team, with three showrooms. Our team provides customers with various options, project managing, and installing new rooms to the highest standard.
We have plenty of ideas in the pipeline, and we’re excited about where the next decade will take us.
